Conditions we treat

Headaches

Many headaches have a treatable neck-related component.

What is headaches?

Some headaches are driven or worsened by the joints and muscles of the neck — known as cervicogenic headaches. Physiotherapy can help where the neck is involved.

Common symptoms

  • Headache that starts at the base of the skull
  • Pain linked to neck stiffness or posture
  • One-sided head pain
  • Headache aggravated by sustained positions

Common causes

  • Neck joint and muscle dysfunction
  • Postural and desk-based load
  • Muscle tension
  • Stress

How we treat it

We assess whether your headache has a neck-related component and, where it does, treat with hands-on techniques, exercise and posture advice. Headaches are one of Vincent's specialised-interest areas.

“We don't just label the symptom. We find what's actually driving your pain — then build a plan around it.”

— Vincent Harvey, Senior Physiotherapist + Founder
