Conditions we treat

Sciatica

Pain that travels along the sciatic nerve into the leg.

What is sciatica?

Sciatica describes pain that radiates along the path of the sciatic nerve — from the lower back into the buttock and down the leg. It is usually a symptom of an underlying issue irritating the nerve.

Common symptoms

  • Pain radiating into the buttock and leg
  • Pins and needles or numbness
  • Pain with sitting, standing or walking
  • Weakness in the leg or foot

Common causes

  • Disc-related nerve irritation
  • Tightness or compression along the nerve path
  • Lower back joint dysfunction
  • Postural and load factors

How we treat it

We work to settle the irritation and address the underlying cause with a combination of hands-on treatment, dry needling where appropriate, and a structured exercise programme to help you return to walking, sitting and sleeping comfortably.

“We don't just label the symptom. We find what's actually driving your pain — then build a plan around it.”

— Vincent Harvey, Senior Physiotherapist + Founder
