Conditions we treat

Upper Back Pain

Often linked to posture, breathing and desk-based work.

What is upper back pain?

Upper back (thoracic) pain affects the area between the neck and lower back. It is frequently tied to posture and prolonged sitting.

Common symptoms

  • Aching between the shoulder blades
  • Stiffness with rotation or deep breathing
  • Pain that builds through the workday
  • Associated neck or shoulder tightness

Common causes

  • Sustained desk postures
  • Joint stiffness
  • Muscle fatigue and weakness
  • Stress and tension

How we treat it

Treatment combines hands-on mobilisation, targeted exercise and practical posture and workstation advice to reduce the daily load on the area.

“We don't just label the symptom. We find what's actually driving your pain — then build a plan around it.”

— Vincent Harvey, Senior Physiotherapist + Founder
