What is tennis elbow?
Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylalgia) is irritation of the tendons on the outside of the elbow. Despite the name, most cases have nothing to do with tennis.
Common symptoms
- Pain on the outside of the elbow
- Pain gripping or lifting
- Tenderness over the bony point of the elbow
- Weak or painful grip
Common causes
- Repetitive gripping or wrist use
- Sudden increase in load
- Work and hobby demands
- Tendon overload
How we treat it
Tendons respond to the right kind of loading. We build a progressive strengthening programme alongside hands-on treatment and activity advice to settle pain and rebuild capacity.
“We don't just label the symptom. We find what's actually driving your pain — then build a plan around it.”
